Eight Reasons Graduates Of Other Coaching Programs Should Strongly Consider Attending iCoach Global
It cannot be opened in Google docs.
According to our informal survey approximately sixty percent of those attending ICF Converge in San Diego in 2025 told us they considered themselves executive/leadership coaches.
Our Zoom-based icoachglobal.com executive coaching program prepares participants for the competitive world of executive coaching better than any other coaching program in the world.
How do we do that?
1. iCoach Global gives each participant a real executive coaching client who works at an
organization. This client is not derailing, not voluntold and the contract is the client will have a 360 Survey completed by the coach over the three-month engagement. What does this give the coach? Real-world experience working as an executive coach. What does real world experience build? Confidence!
As we always like to say, you can’t be an executive coach without an executive coaching
client.
Experience as an executive coach building confidence helps a lot in building an executive coaching practice.
2. iCoach Global requires a practical orientation from the final paper each participant writes to discussions held every week in class: to think, feel and work with the mindset of an
executive coach.
3. We require all participants to answer the question: “What is your approach to executive
coaching?” This is the key question you will be asked by Talent Management and HR
gatekeepers who are vetting coaches to work as external coaches in their organizations.
Answering the question repeatedly “What is your approach to executive coaching”, prepares you to answer the same question when the organization considers if they want to put you on their coaching faculty or not.
4. We require cohort-based training. That means you and your classmates go through the same training in creating and writing a 360-degree survey, same rehearsal for conducting a Coaching Development Plan meeting with the Boss and your client, same instruction about writing a Coaching Development Plan for your client. Why is this important? In the competitive world of organizations hiring executive coaches, you need as much competent and practical peer support as you can find. You find that your class cohort.
5. The results already in: over the past 23 years we’ve trained approximately 300 participants to be executive coaches. While quite a few of them remain in HR or Talent Management, at least 50 percent of them have gone on to establish executive coaching practices that gross approximately $100 K USD per year, and some of them a good deal more than it.
6. Because our program is coaching-practice-based, our participants discuss practical things: What’s the best way to succeed at a coaching chemistry meeting? How much should you involve the boss and key stakeholders in the coaching? How do you handle a boss who
demands to see the results of your client’s 360 survey because the company paid for the
coaching?
7. We will answer questions about recommendations for professional liability insurance, best ways to go about subcontracting your coaching work, what ethical issues you must always be aware of, and so forth.
Face it. The world of executive coaching is very, very competitive. To succeed as an executive coach, you need lots of experience doing executive coaching! Our iCoach Global launches that experience while you’re still with us and we can answer your question. Not afterwards when you’ve graduated.
